Gohan, now living in the city renamed after Mr. Satan (Hercule), attends Orange Star High School. Here he meets Mr. Satan's daughter and his future wife, Videl.
One day, Gohan is walking to school and he passes a Bank that is being robbed. He turns into a super saiya-jin to disguise his identity and saves the day. This starts his crime fighting days. So that no one would know who he is, he asks Bulma to create him a costume to wear when he fights. He is known as the Great Saiyaman, protector of Satan City. To those who didn't know him, often referred to him as the Golden Warrior.
Like the Ginyu Force, he works on an entrance pose. He worries about this more than catching the criminals. Videl helps Saiyaman, but she doesn't know his identity. She suspects he is Gohan, but doesn't have any proof.
One day when he is blackmailed into going on a date with Angela, or she would tell everyone his secret. Gohan thinks she knows about his secret identity, so he agrees. While on the date, he spots a burning building and Videl coming. He also goes to help and afterwards, Angela thinks that Videl was Gohan's girlfriend and tells everyone his secret. What Gohan thought she knew, wasn't it at all. The secret was that Gohan wore teddy bear underwear.
Gohan continues to bring justice to Satan City and stop crime. One time, the major of Satan City was kidnapped by the Red Rock Gang and Gohan rescued him before Videl could.
When Videl was almost killed, Great Saiyaman was forced to turn into a super saiya-jin to save her and she found out his identity. Videl appeared as a Saiyaman only once in the series and once in Movie 13, although she continues fighting alongside Gohan.
The 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai was taking place 7 years after the Cell Game and everyone was participating, including Vegeta. Goku telepathically tells everyone that he is allowed one day back to Earth so he can participate in the big event. Chi Chi allows Gohan and Goten to enter because the 1st place prize was 100,000,000 zeni. Videl shows up at Gohan's house and demands that he teaches her to fly, like he promised. Since Goten could not fly either, Gohan successfully taught both of them.
The Z Fighters begin their training a month before the actual tournament. On the day of this big event, Goku teleports back to earth. Everyone is happy to see him again, except for Goten because he's never seen Goku before.
To qualify in the right level, they had to measure their strength on a specially designed punching machine. Goten and Trunks, disappointed, learned that people 15 and under have to enter the juniors division. The Z Fighters didn't try at all and they had exceptionally high scores. Vegeta could not be scored because he broke the machine.
When the junior division began, Goten is beaten by Trunks because he turned into a super saiya-jin and Trunks claims the championship. As a "prize," Trunks was able to fight Mr. Satan, and with one punch, Trunks wins the match. Mr. Satan says that he "let" Trunks win. A couple of battles pass by, plus some disqualifications. Piccolo refuses to fight Kaioh-shin, and learns he is the supreme god of all the Kaioh-shins.
Gohan is fighting Kibito now. After the match, Kibito asks if Gohan can turn into a super saiya-jin for him. Gohan does, and at that exact moment, Majin Supopobichi and Yamu appear and steal Gohan's energy. While Gohan is unconscious, the two men run towards a space ship. Kaioh-shin, Piccolo, Goku, Vegeta, and Krillin race after them, entrusting Gohan to the care of Kibito. Kibito heals Gohan, giving him more energy than he had before his energy was stolen. They race to catch up with the others, with Videl following.
On their way, Kaioh-shin tells them about the story of Buu and Babidi. He told them about how Babidi's father, Bibidi had killed all the other Kaioh-shin and how he died. He also told them about how Buu was trapped in an egg. Kibito was also telling Gohan and Videl this story as they were catching up with the others.
With almost everybody disqualified 18 and Mr. Satan were the only legal challengers left. Mr. Satan was afraid of 18 after seeing her fight Mighty Mask. She takes this golden oppertunity and bargains with him. She wanted 200,000,000 zeni in exchange for her defeat. He agrees and is named the World Champion.
Goku and the others reach Majin Supopobichi and Yamu's ship, but Darbura spits on Piccolo and Krillin, turning them into stone. They learn that the only way to reverse the spell was to kill Darbura. As they entered different stages of the ship, they had to fight and overcome obstacles. The Z Fighters win all of the battles, and it's Gohan's turn to fight. He ends up fighting Darbura, but a few minutes into the battle, Darbura stops and disappears. He had gone to Badidi to report his plan of posessing Vegeta.
Vegeta allowed Badidi posess him because he knew that if Badidi possessed him, he would get stronger and then Goku will have to fight him. Basically the reason why Vegeta let this happen was to satisfy his selfish need o fight Goku. Now with Vegeta on his side, Badidi has enough power to awaken Buu. Badidi rides Buu around the towns to terrorize them. Majin Vegeta finally gets to fight Goku and is winning until he realizes that good always defeats evil. Goku at this point is unconcious. Majin Vegeta goes to Trunks and tells him that he deserved a better father than himself and his mother. He also tells Trunks that he really did care about him and leaves to find Buu.
Meanwhile, Buu has gotten tired of being Badidi's slave and kills him. Vegeta finds Buu and they fight. Vegeta at this stage has become good and pure for the first time. In his last attempt to kill Buu, Majin Vegeta self destructs. This unfortunatley, does not kill Buu. Goku has eaten a Sensu bean during Majin Vegeta's fight and is healed. Goku turns into a super saiyjin level 2 and fights Buu. Goku, unable to beat Buu, turns into a super saiyajin level 3.
Meanwhile, Bulma searches for the Dragonballs with her Dragonball Radar to wish the people killed by Badidi and his minions. Gohan during this whole time is training at King Kai's Planet with the remaining Kaioh-shins. Buu splits himself in half, one being pure and the other evil. They fight and the evil one turns the good Buu into a cookie and eats him.
Goku teleports to Kami's lookout tower and tries to teach Trunks and Goten to fuse. Their first attempt failed, so they went to train alittle bit more in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. They come out and try it again, this time it works and they are called Gotenks. They go to train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to try to reach their maximum power level. They could turn into a super saiyajin level 3, but didn't tell Piccolo because they wanted to surprise him.
The new and improved Buu goes in search of this mysterious new power, which was Gotenks. Goku has no time left on Earth, so he leaves Piccolo in charge of training Goten and Trunks and he goes back to being dead. He is able to watch what happens on Earth with the Kaioh-shin's crystal ball.
Buu finally arrives on Kami's Lookout and is met by Piccolo. Piccolo somehow is able to trick Buu into waiting for Goten and Trunks. That gave Goten and Trunks more time to train because inside time inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber went by faster. Meanwhile, Chi Chi is also on Kami's Lookout and she starts to yell at Buu for killing so many people and she thought he killed Gohan. He turns her into an egg and steps on her. Buu gets angry and demands Piccolo to take him to Gotenks. Piccolo, knowing he's too weak to fight Buu, leads him to thte Chamber. Piccolo led him to the Chamber by the hard way, which was much longer, again to buy Goten and Trunks some time. They finally arrive at the door and enter.
Goten and Trunks fuse and they begin to battle Buu. Gotenks is winning the fight and prove to be very strong against Buu. Piccolo then blasts the doorway in an effort to trap Buu inside. He says that without the door, all of them will remain trapped inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber forever. Frustrated that he can't beat Gotenks and the fact that he's trapped inside, Buu screams on the top of his lungs in dispair. His screaming creates a hole in the wall and he gets out. Gotenks and Piccolo try, but are unable to create a hole like Buu did. Finally Gotenks turns into a super saiyajin level 3 and they scream, now they are able to escape.
Gotenks resumes his battle with Buu. Buu is beaten and then thrown into the Earth. Gotenks and Piccolo fly down to try to find Buu's body. They are unable to find him and a few moments later, Buu appears in front of them. Gotenks prepares to fight Buu again, but the fusion wears off.
Meanwhile on King Kai's Planet, Gohan finishes his training and leaves to help Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo. Goku wishes him luck and is angry that he can't help because he's dead. Gohan arrives just in time and saves them. He beats up Buu and Buu, with no other options, self destructs. Thinking they won, Gohan, Trunks, Piccolo, and Goten fly off. They pick up Dende and Mr. Satan along the way.
Out of nowhere, Buu appears. He had survived the fight. Goten and Trunks fuse again and brag about beating Buu. Buu takes this opportunity when Gotenks was off guard and absorbs Gotenks. Gohan is overwhelmed by Buu's new strength. Buu throws an energy ball at Gohan, but it's blocked by Tien's own blast. Still, it did little for Gohan. Buu just prepared fired up another energy ball.
Meanwhile, King Yemma, decides to grant Vegeta life to help save the Earth. On King Kai's Planet, Goku is told about the permanent fusion of the Potara Earrings. The Kaioh-shins give the Potara earrings to Goku to fuse with Gohan so they can beat Buu. He is told that he was to wear one earring and Gohan was to wear they other. To bring Goku back to life, Dai Kaioh-shin gives his life to Goku, and he falls dead. Goku's halo disappears and reappears on Dai Kaioh-shin. Goku bids them farewell and leaves.
Goku appears just in time to throw an energy ball at Buu's energy ball to prevent Gohan from being hit. Goku's blast cut off Buu's legs and some of his antennas. Using this time, Goku tells Gohan about the Potara Earrings and throws him one. Gohan prepares to wear the earring for the permanant fusion. Buu's antennas sneak over to Piccolo and absorbs him, and at this moment, Buu's legs kicks Tien unconcious.
Now, Buu reassembles himself and absorb Gohan. Gohan drops the earring and Goku is in trouble as Buu transforms into a more powerful Buu. Vegeta arrives and helps Goku. A glint of hope appears in Goku's eyes as he forms a plan. Goku tells Vegeta about the Potara Earrings and Vegeta goes to find the other earring Gohan dropped. Vegeta finds it and puts it on. Goku and Vegeta are pulled together and they fuse to become Vegetto.
Vegetto takes on the appearance of Vegeta, like Gogeta took the looks of Goku. Vegetto fights Buu and beats him up pretty badly, but Vegetto let Buu purposely absorb them so they could save their friends. After being absorbed, the fusion is cancelled out and Vegetto returns to Goku and Vegeta. Inside Buu, they save Gohan, Piccolo, Trunks, and Goten. They exit Buu by going through his pores in his skin.
Once out, they return to their normal size. The effect of them leaving did not change Buu in the least. Absorbing Vegetto gave Buu enough power to become complete, like Cell when he absorbed both androids. Buu fires up an energy wave that'll destroy the Earth. The Kaioh-shin teleports to Earth and helps Goku teleport Goten, Gohan, Trunks, Vegeta, Piccolo, Dende, and Mr. Satan to King Kai's Planet. The Earth is blown up, along with all it's inhabitants except for those who escaped to King Kai's Planet. They fight, but the Good Buu is beaten unconcious. Goku and Vegeta continues to fight Buu. While Goku was fighting Buu, Vegeta tells the Kaioh-shin to gather the Namek Dragonballs. It is done and the first wish was to bring back the Earth. The second wish was to revive all the people on Earth that died when the Earth was blown up. The third wish was saved for later. Everyone was transported to Earth from King Kai's Planet except for Buu, Goku and Vegeta, who were still fighting. Vegeta takes a go at Buu and while Vegeta was distracting Buu, Goku began to form the Spirit Bomb. On Earth, our heroes tell the people to raise their hands and donate energy to Goku's Spirit Bomb. Nobody listens, but then Mr. Satan, the world's champion and still very famous from the Cell Games, orders everyone to lend Goku their energy. The people follow their hero's order and raise their hands.
Goku gathers enough energy and throws it at Buu. Buu is, however, too strong and is repelling it. Vegeta tells the Kaioh-shin to use the last wish to restore all of Goku's power back so he can kill Buu. It is done and Goku is able to give the Spirit Bomb more energy. Buu is unable to repel it anymore and is destroyed. The Earth is saved once again. Fat Buu wakes up and the Z Fighters want to kill him, but Mr. Satan tells them not to because Buu is good and he is the one who saved his life. Fat Buu joins the Z Fighters.
Ten years later, Gohan marries Videl and they have Pan. Goten and Trunks are teenagers and Goku has wished Buu back. He has become Ubuu and he is pure. Goku has decided to train Ubuu.
